ATV STARTING GUIDE

BEFORE YOU START

How to Start Your ATV

Follow these steps after installing the battery and preparing your ATV for its first start.

1	Connect the Battery

Once your battery is installed in the unit, make sure the battery is properly connected before attempting to start the ATV.

CHECK

Make sure the battery connections are secure.

Add Fuel

Make sure the gas tank is filled with premium gasoline before attempting to start the unit.

FUEL REMINDER

Use the fuel recommended for your specific model and owner's manual.

3	Turn the Key On

Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.

4	Engage the Brake

Make sure the emergency handlebar brake is pulled in and locked. According to the original instructions, the brake must be engaged for the unit to start.

IMPORTANT

The brake must be engaged before pressing the starter.

5	Check the Kill Switch

Make sure the kill switch is not in the position showing the half-circle with the X inside.

SWITCH POSITION

The switch needs to be in the position showing the empty half-moon circle.

6	Press the Start Button

Once all of the previous checks are complete, press the start button and hold it down until the unit starts.

IF THE ATV DOES NOT START

If the unit does not start after approximately one minute, stop attempting to start it and refer to the diagnostics section for troubleshooting starting issues.
